Aether is a cordless home air filter that produces its own energy from carbon dioxide in the surrounding atmosphere. It does this with a multi material 3D printed filter that is equipped with carbonphilic material that is used to gather carbon dioxide.  

Because the device is self powered, it requires no external batteries or cables. Also, we designed two products to fulfill two different air filtration needs. The first, the tabletop version, is compact and light and can filter air in a bedroom or work space. The second, the wall-mounted version, is robust and powerful and has the capacity to filter a larger room or entire floor. The data we used to calculate their capabilities was derived from intense technology research as well as interviews with experts in biochemistry and fluidics.
